VITALI BERDITCHEVSKI, B.B.A., J.D. (Candidate)
Vitali Berditchevski is a third year student at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law. A graduate with High Distinction from the Management program at the University of Toronto, Vitali has gained experience in several different fields before attending law school. In the past, Vitali has done programming for a web start-up, worked as an analyst in an IT department of a large Canadian financial institution, and consulted for a major automaker where he was presented with the prestigious Kaizen Award for his timely and innovative ideas.
Vitali is currently enrolled in the J.D. program at the University of Western Ontario. His legal interests lie in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, pension & employment law and telecommunications/media regulation and he is taking courses and writing papers on those topics. Aside from coursework, Vitali serves on the Western Law Advocacy Committee, judges internal moots and coaches mooters. He is also a student member of the law school’s Admissions Committee.
For the past two years, Vitali worked as a Case Manager at the Western Business Law Clinic where he provided legal services to entrepreneurs who were starting and growing their businesses. He is continuing to work with the clinic in a mentorship and advisory role. He also spent the summer months of 2011 working at the Toronto office of an international business law firm and will be completing his articles of clerkship there in 2012-2013.
